Frequently Asked Questions
What is a CPI campaign?
A CPI campaign – or a Cost-Per-Inquiry campaign – pays you for every visitor that is referred from your web site and requests more information on certain products or services.
What is a PlattForm affiliate?
An affiliate is an individual or company that partners with PlattForm and provides contact information for users interested in furthering their education. In exchange, PlattForm will purchase this data for a set price.
Who do I contact if I have a question?
Please contact your appointed affiliate representative. If you are not sure who this is, simply email email@example.com, and you will be assisted shortly.
How can I apply to be an affiliate?
Go to www.PlattFormPartners.com and select “Sign me up!.” Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email notification within 72 hours indicating whether your account has been accepted or declined.
I forgot my login and password. What do I do?
Contact your affiliate representative or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our team will be able to assist you shortly.
When will I be paid?
All affiliates are paid Net-30, meaning checks/direct deposits will be issued 30 days after the close of the billable month. If this falls on a weekend, checks will be mailed before the 30th.
How much do I need to make to get paid?
A minimum of $50 is required in order for payment to be issued. If you do not accrue $50 in revenue in a given month, this will be rolled over to the next month’s payment.
Can I run all schools, or is there an approval process?
All affiliates must be approved by PlattForm to run any school. There is no limit to the number of schools you can run. However, there are some restrictions, which vary by school. Generally, the approval process takes an average of 5 business days.
How much does it cost to join?
Joining the PlattForm affiliate network is completely free for publishers. Any internal affiliate costs, such as building/maintaining the web site or offers run, will be the responsibility of the affiliate. However, we do offer easily implemented, low-maintenance links for each and every PlattForm school.
Are links provided?
Yes, we offer a link for each school/campaign PlattForm runs.
Are there any prohibited web sites?
We will not accept inquiries generated from non-family-oriented sites that may be considered offensive to some. This includes gambling, adult-themed and pornographic web sites. If our network audits show that your site may contain non-family-oriented content, we will terminate your site immediately without notification.
Can I advertise on non-U.S. web sites?
You may advertise on non-U.S. web sites as long as your web site is written in English and targets users from the U.S. and/or Canada.
What kind of reporting is available to the affiliate network?
Affiliates are able to access click totals, inquiry counts and monthly commissions.
Can I refer my friends to this program?
Absolutely – we highly recommend referring friends and fellow web masters to our program. Our two-tier program allows you to be paid a percentage of the inquiries generated by your referrals initial account. You must have a PlattForm Partners account in good standing to be eligible for two-tier program.
When will I know when my site has been accepted
You will be contacted by a member of our affiliate team, letting you know that your site has been accepted. Once approved, you are ready to begin applying for individual schools!
How do I install linking codes?
Simply copy and paste the link code in the appropriate and approved area of your site. These can be found when you log into your affiliate account. If you need help locating these, your affiliate representative can assist you.
What is the iframe?
The iframe is a database of schools that allows our affiliates to run all their campaigns on one link. Rather than listing individual schools one link at a time, the affiliate frames our search tool into their site. Users search by programs and Zip code and receive school results via our internal system. This is a great option for an affiliate with limited site space or minimal time available for site builds/revisions.
What is a portal affiliate?
An affiliate who drives traffic to our internal sites via link(s), provided by PlattForm, to generate education inquiries. This typically provides a lower payout but requires less maintenance.
What are my creative style options for the iframe?
We have several options available to choose from in terms of layout of the search results. For example, you can choose the logo/content to list above the form fields or to the right or left. Affiliates are also able to incorporate their own style sheet when using our iframe. You can modify the font size/style/color to better match your site.
If I have more than one web site, do I need to register for more than one account?
You can enter multiple URLs under the same account; however, you can setup additional accounts in order to track conversions/inquiries/payments separately. If you are a portal affiliate, you will need to have a separate account from link/iframe/post as the access and payout will be different.
Can I cancel my account at any time?
You may cancel your account at any time by emailing us and specifying that you wish to cancel your account. We also reserve the right to terminate your account at any time if we feel that you are not abiding by our Terms and Conditions.
What is a start?
A “start” signifies a user/inquiry has enrolled and begun attending class at a school. All schools measure success by an inquiry-to-start ratio. The goal is to attain as many starts as possible.
What is an inquiry scrub/inquiry credit?
An inquiry credit, or “scrub,” is simply an inquiry that has been returned by the client. Some reasons for return include bad contact information, user states he/she did not request information, or user is attending school elsewhere.
